Because of the constant flow of visitors and the growing number of residents from all over Europe, Lanzarote is more and more becoming an international eating experience. However, not to be missed are the local Canarian specialties which can be found throughout the island. Popular among them are such local delights as papas arrugadas (wrinkled potatoes), the traditional fish stew Sancocho, wonderful mojo sauces which add a touch of spice to everything, or gofio, a ground cornmeal used as an accompaniment to a meal or as a drink. You can also find the classical Spanish favourites like tapas, paellas, cocidos, etc.

Restaurant hours are generally standard to most countries, but you can check them out here.
Tip on Tipping:
according to the Spanish, it's kept to a minimum.
